2 Life Lessons from the Film Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002)

"All I think is, if you can find work, stay healthy, find somebody to share it with, you're the ultimate success."

I think, we live in a world where society tricks you that success is when you have all the riches in the world and you have a career that makes you popular in the field. Frankly, nakaka-pressure iyon.

Are those not considered as success?
Nakakalungkot pero lagi tayong hindikuntento. Lagi tayong may hinahanap. Lagi tayong may gustong patunayan. It's endless. So some people live a lifetime of failure because they neglect the little successes they get everyday. I guess we all have to learn how to be mindful of the blessings we are given everyday. The fact that you are breathing right now is a success because someone in the world today has his last.

"When you're young, your potential is infinite. You might do anything, really. You might be Einstein, you might be Di Maggio. Then you get to an age when what you might be gives way to what you have been. You weren't Einstein. You weren't anything. That's a bad moment."

Minsan isang araw, nagising ako na galit na galit sa sarili ko kasi lahat ng plano ko, hindi ko naisagawa, given the circumstances along the way, wala talagang choice. And it happens. That's the reality. Unexpected things might get in your way pero ganun tlaga eh. I don't believe in luck, destiny, or fate but I believe in chances and hardwork and connections. Kapag ginawa mo na lahat ng makakaya mo at nasubukan lahat ng options na meron ka, and you think it's your full potential, leave it to chances and pray for your success.

Realizing that you weren't anything is a bad moment, yes. Pero not everyone becomes something big. We just have to accept that fact. If you want to become what you want yourself to be, work hard. After all, we have our own strengths and abilities . We just have to learn how to use and embrace them.

Confessions of A Dangerous Mind is a comedy directed by George Clooney. The story is about the life of Chuck Barris, a gameshow creator and producer, who was popular in the 1970's. He claimed to be a gameshow host in the morning and a CIA assassin at night.

Sam Rockwell played Chuck Barri's role.

I watched the movie out of boredom and because at that time, it was the only movie left in my laptop. The film has a lot of artsy scenes and profanity but I will not forget the things I realized from it.
